Pioneers & Leaders (Publishers) Pte Ltd and its subsidiary companies are principally in business activities relating to the publishing and printing industry. The Group’s history can be traced back to the establishment of Pioneers & Leaders (Publishers) Pte Ltd on 12 August 1976. Then, operations were carried out in a small rented flat with just a handful of staff.

Printing and Publishing
Through the years, the Group has relentlessly pursued excellence commitment in pioneering new ways in the publishing and printer industry. We were the first in the publishing and printing industry to be fully computerize and in 1983. Later, in 1986 we adopted the Oracle system to streamline and increase that efficiency of the workflow.

Not long thereafter, the company launched Shares Investment Facts & Figures, later known as SHARES INVESTMENT - a guidebook on all the listed companies in Singapore that is available in the market within 24 hours of market closure. This is further expanding into China, where Shares Investment will cover the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and Malaysia, where the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange is covered.

Furthermore, the company has also grown in serving the needs of the growing Singapore economy - printing regulars for clients like the Singapore Turf Club, NAFA and Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations, as well as doing publishing and printing projects such as the 100th Anniversary book for the Singapore Lee Clan General Association and Graduation books for the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.

Telecommunications
Continuing that very same culture of professionalism and pioneering spirit, the Group was the first to provide horseracing information on Teleview, an online information service by the Singapore Telecommunications.

We continued this pursue to providing information with new technologies, the company launched its online horseracing portal - WINNER21.COM. Now using the latest technology, the website is able to provide horseracing information in a whole new interactive way.

Going beyond borders
In the recent years, the Group has not only expanded in Singapore, it has also made inroads into Malaysia, and China, as well as serving clients from South Africa, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. In the last five years, three new companies has been setup in Malaysia, Shanghai and Anyang - increasing the company’s regional presence and to better serve our regional clients/needs.

With the help of new technologies, our Malaysian readers no longer have to wait for hours before the books are imported into Malaysia, but can now receive PUNTERS’ WAY on the very same day as the other publications.

Furthermore, the Group has just completed its test stages of publishing SHARES INVESTMENTS (Shanghai Stock Exchange) remotely from Singapore and printing it in the major cities of China. All within the span of a day from market close at the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Carrying the very same flagship professionalism, the Group is in the test stages of covering the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange at the end of 2007/beginning 2008
